The Argonautical.Net base is in the seashore village of Afissos. Afissos is located at the heart of Greece, on the coastline of the Pagasitikos gulf and about 22 km or 20 minutes by car from the city of Volos.

HOW TO GET TO VOLOS / AFISSOS
By air to Volos (Nea Anchialos) airport, then by road to Afissos in 40 min.
By air to Thessaloniki airport and from there by road or rail. From Thessaloniki to Volos by rail in 3 hours and 30 mins.From Thessaloniki to Volos by intercity bus in 2 hours and 30 mins (216km).
By air to Athens airport and from there by road or rail. From Athens to Volos by rail in 4 hours and 30 mins. From Athens to Volos by intercity bus in 4 hours (320km).
TRAVEL FROM AIRPORT TO VOLOS
Volos Airportotherwise known as Nea Aghialos National Airport - This is the local airport but unfortunately not many airlines operate to here (see suggested airlines). Free transportation every Monday and Friday is available with our minibus to the Park. Taxis are available but can be scarce at this airport. Car rental is available and you can organize to collect at the airport. Travel from there to Afissos is approximately a 40 min drive depending on the time of day.
Thessaloniki Airport to Volos This trip is approx 216km and can be achieved by train, bus, taxi or car hire , it is a fairly easy motorway run.
Train From Thessaloniki Airport you can take a short taxi ride to the mainline train station and from here take the intercity train to Volos a journey which takes approximately 3 hours and 30 minutes. From Volos we will collect you and transfer you to your accommodation.
Bus From Thessaloniki Airport you can take a taxi to the Bus Station and from there the bus to Volos, From Volos we will collect you and transfer you to your accommodation.

Taxi From Thessaloniki Airport you can get a taxi to Volos / Afissos the cost for 1-4 persons will be approx €150.00 each way.
